1982 Fiat X1/9

The Story

My love affair with the Fiat X1/9 started many years ago soon after they arrived in Australia, at the time I would have been driving either my first Fiat an 850 sports or my second Fiat a 128 3P. It took me 40 years to get my first X1/9 after looking at what was for sale in 2018 I found a fully restored one for sale in Hobart (you can read all about the trip home in my first X at x19.au2.com ). I drove it to many events from Wellington vintage parades, Gnoo Blas, the big run to Eden, and many AutoItalia events in Canberra. Unfortunatley in October 2024 it suffered some damage to the front panel and was deemed a total loss, the car is now undergoing repairs and will be put up for sale when the repairs are completed. Shannons paid out on the policy and the money was used to buy my Secondi X1/9. It was for sale in Adelaide and due to various reasons I didn't inspect the car, just bought it and had it transported to a depot in Sydney. That was just about a year ago and it has been driven many times since and also had a few needed repairs with much help and assistence from Mark.
