1962 Triumph TR4

1962 Triumph TR4

Owned by David

The Story

I have a soft spot for Italian and English cars - so when the chance came to own this 1962 'Giovanni Michelotti' designed Triumph TR4, with Factory Overdrive a warm cam in Wedgewood Blue I grabbed it. I love the European design influence, but under the skin its all 'TR' from the 'Triumph Racing' division. So racing chassie, balanced, low slung etc.. and such an involving experience to drive. I've had a few classics but this is something special. UK built on 1st Oct 1962 & dispatched from Gladstone Dock in Liverpool UK on 12th Oct 1962 aboard the vessel 'Lauraky' bound for Melbourne, Australia. Finished in Wedgewood Blue. The TR4 introduced a cleaner, more modern 60's look — crisp lines, power bulge & timeless European presence and classic stance just not seen in cars of today.
