1982 Fiat X1/9 - 1500 5 Speed - truly unbelievable today, that this car, the world's first mid-engined Supercar in miniature, was designed by the legendary Marcello Gandini who also designed the Lamborghini Miura Classic & Sportscar declares the X1/9 is still everything you'd expect - poised, sharp & exciting - there are few cars -that can claim to be all three, let alone also share the same design hallmarks of an iconic supercar final Fiat production series X1/9 Metallic Red - Rosso Metallizzato with brown leatherette interior & strong low kilometre factory 1500cc engine Perfect sills, under door areas, screen surrounds, unmarked door-cards, fade-free factory carpets, crack-free dashtop & facia, undamaged instruments, controls & glovebox, original unbroken gear-lever, perfect undamaged front spoiler & 5 x original PININFARINA factory-fitted alloys Although the tacky seat top re-upholstering is an eye-sore, thankfully the entire side and rear brown trim surrounds around both seats were untouched and are near perfect. A good trimmer could easily replicate the factory look facias to make this truly pop. apart from the stylishly re-upholstered seats, this is a well-preserved original car & is a rare find with near perfect deterioration-free details throughout and is desperately yearning for elevation to showroom-level status.
